Custom Men’s Signet Rings

Create a Signet Ring That Is Truly Your Own

A custom signet ring can represent your family, career, achievements, beliefs, organization, or personal style. Rather than limiting you to a few standard designs, we create each ring around the artwork, symbols, proportions, and details that matter to you. You can begin with one of the rings shown above, modify an existing design, or work with us to create something completely original.

What Can You Put on a Signet Ring?

Almost any meaningful design can be incorporated into a custom signet ring. Popular choices include initials, monograms, family crests, coats of arms, company logos, military insignia, religious symbols, school emblems, team logos, and original artwork.

The design can be engraved into the surface, raised above the background, accented with enamel, or set with diamonds and colored gemstones. We can also combine multiple elements into one cohesive design, such as a family crest on the face with initials, dates, or symbols along the sides.

Choosing the Shape and Size

The shape of the ring’s face has a major influence on its overall appearance. Signet rings can be created with oval, round, square, rectangular, cushion-shaped, or shield-shaped faces.

A smaller face creates a more understated ring, while a larger face provides more room for detailed artwork and produces a bolder appearance. We consider your finger size, hand proportions, design complexity, and preferred style when helping you select the right dimensions.

A signet ring can be worn on the pinky, ring finger, index finger, or any other finger you prefer. The proportions can be adjusted to make the ring feel balanced and comfortable wherever it is worn.

Metals and Finishes

Custom men’s signet rings can be made in sterling silver, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum, or combinations of different metals. Gold is available in several karats, including 10K, 14K, and 18K, allowing you to balance color, durability, precious-metal content, and price.

The finish can also dramatically change the character of the ring. Choose a high-polish surface for a bright, traditional appearance or a satin, brushed, textured, antiqued, or oxidized finish for a more subdued or rugged look. Two-tone metals and contrasting finishes can be used to highlight important elements of the design.

Engraving, Relief, Enamel, and Gemstones

The artwork on a signet ring can be created in several ways. Recessed engraving cuts the design into the surface, while raised relief creates a dimensional image that stands above the background. Hand engraving can add fine details, texture, and individuality, while computer-aided design allows complex shapes and symmetrical patterns to be planned precisely before the ring is made.

Enamel can add color to crests, logos, flags, and emblems. Diamonds and colored gemstones can be added as borders, accents, backgrounds, or important parts of the central design. The best method depends on the artwork, the level of detail, the metal, and the appearance you want.

Our Custom Signet Ring Process

The process begins when you send us your initials, logo, crest, photograph, sketch, or general idea. We discuss the ring size, face shape, metal, dimensions, finish, design details, gemstones, and budget.

After the design and price are agreed upon, we create a computer rendering of the ring. You will have an opportunity to review the design and request reasonable changes before manufacturing begins. Once approved, the ring is cast, engraved, polished, finished, and set with any diamonds or gemstones included in the design.

The completed ring is carefully inspected before being shipped to you. Our online process allows us to create custom signet rings for clients throughout the United States without requiring an in-person appointment.

What Determines the Price?

The cost of a custom signet ring depends on the metal, ring size, total weight, face dimensions, complexity of the artwork, engraving method, finish, enamel, gemstones, and amount of labor required.

A large, substantial gold ring will cost more than a smaller sterling silver design because it contains more precious metal. Detailed hand engraving, multi-piece construction, two-tone metals, enamel work, and diamond setting can also increase the price.

We can often adjust the dimensions, metal, gemstones, and design details to create a ring that fits your budget while preserving the most important elements of your idea.

Ring Sizing and Comfort

An accurate ring size is especially important for a signet ring because many designs are wider, heavier, or more top-heavy than a traditional band. Wide rings may require a slightly larger size than narrow rings, and the shape of the inside of the band can affect how the ring feels.

We can help you determine the appropriate size and proportions before the ring is made. The goal is to create a ring that looks substantial while remaining balanced and comfortable enough to wear regularly.

FAQ's

There is not set cost for a custom signet ring. But in general, they start at $350 for something in silver up to an inch wide or tall and go up from there. Gold and platinum are more price dependent upon the weight that silver is. So there is not a starting cost for those metals.
We use a Computer Aided Design program and lost wax casting to create our custom jewelry.
Unfortunately, not really. We do not do any design work until a deposit has been paid, which is half of the cost. The remainder is due upon completion. This is pretty much standard operating procedure for custom jewelers. You will have to approve the design before we cast it, so you will get the custom pendant that you want. However, there are times when we will have to roughly create it to figure out the price. If that is the case, we would be able to show that to you before paying the deposit.
We warranty all of our custom jewelry against defects forever. But we would never send out a defective piece, so that offer is moot. However, if something is not as it should be, we will fix it. As far as stones falling out, we offer a 6 month warranty on stones under 3mm for normal wear and tear. If they are larger than that and fell out, they had help and would not be covered.
All diamonds sold in the US have to adhere to the Kimberley Process. This consortium of diamond producing countries "unites governments, industry, and civil society to eradicate the global trade of conflict diamonds. By enforcing rigorous certification protocols and compliance assessments, the KP ensures that all participating countries maintain high standards that keep conflict diamonds out of the international market."
The short answer is no. The bail on custom pendants has to be large enough and for the correct style to fit. We can make a bail to fit any size or style of chain. However, if a bail is made to fit a flat chain up to 2mm wide, anything larger than that won't work. Nor will something like a rope chain. When we create a custom pendant, we will make it to fit the size and style of chain you plan to wear the pendant on.
Changes to custom designs can be made up until the casting process has begun. After that, there would be a charge to make the change, regrow the wax, and recast the piece.
At first, we need a drawing, pic, or concrete idea/description. We don't want to guess what it is that you want. Once we have agreed upon a price, we require half down to begin work on your custom signet ring. We use PayPal invoicing, which requires a credit or debit card and not a PayPal account.
