Custom Halo Engagement Ring
A halo can completely change the look of a custom engagement ring. It can add more sparkle, emphasize the shape of the center stone, create contrast with colored gemstones, or become a major part of the design itself.
At Valeria Custom Jewelry, we create custom halo engagement rings ranging from clean, classic designs to rings that are far outside what you will find in a typical jewelry store. Choose one of our existing designs and customize it, combine elements from several rings, or send us your own idea and have something created from scratch.
Our halo engagement rings can be made with natural or lab-grown diamonds, colored gemstones, and virtually any precious metal. Whether you want a subtle hidden halo or an elaborate double or triple halo, we can design the ring around the look, center stone, and budget you have in mind.

Split Shank Overlapping Halo Engagement Ring
Design Your Own Halo Engagement Ring
There is no single formula for a halo engagement ring. The center stone, halo shape, stone sizes, shank, setting style, and metal can all be changed to create a completely different look.
Some of the halo styles we create include:
- Classic single halo engagement rings
- Double and triple halo rings
- Hidden halo engagement rings
- Split-shank and crossover halo rings
- Floral and nature-inspired halos
- Vintage and Art Deco halo designs
- Colored gemstone halo rings
- Two-tone halo engagement rings
- Bypass halo rings
- Custom-shaped and asymmetrical halos
If you like one of the rings in our collection but want to change part of it, that is usually a much easier starting point than searching endlessly for a ring that already has every detail you want.
We can change the center stone, alter the halo, modify the band, add or remove accent stones, change the metal, adjust proportions, or use an existing design as inspiration for something completely new.
Choose the Center Stone You Actually Want
Your halo engagement ring does not have to be built around a round diamond.
We can design halo settings for round, oval, cushion, emerald, pear, marquise, princess, Asscher, radiant and other center-stone shapes. The halo can follow the exact outline of the stone or be designed to create a different overall shape.
Diamonds are only one option. We can also create halo engagement rings around sapphires, emeralds, rubies, aquamarines and other gemstones.
You can use a natural diamond, lab-grown diamond or colored gemstone depending on the look and budget you prefer.
Single, Double & Triple Halo Engagement Rings
A traditional single halo adds a row of smaller stones around the center stone. For many rings, that is all that is needed.
If you want something with substantially more presence, we can add a second or even a third halo.
The important part is getting the proportions right. Adding more stones does not automatically make a ring look better. The size of the center stone, width of each halo, spacing, shank and overall dimensions need to work together.
Because we design our rings individually, we can adjust those proportions rather than forcing your stone into a predetermined setting.
Hidden Halo Engagement Rings
A hidden halo places the accent stones below the center stone instead of surrounding it when viewed from the top.
This is a great option if you want the top of the ring to remain relatively clean while adding detail and sparkle from the side.
Hidden halos can be incorporated into solitaires, cathedral settings, pavé rings and more elaborate custom designs. They can also be combined with other details such as two-tone metals, engraving or accent stones on the shank.
Colored Gemstone Halo Rings
A halo gives us a lot of opportunities to use color.
You can use a colored gemstone as the center stone with a diamond halo, surround a diamond with colored gemstones, or combine several colors within the same design.
Sapphires are especially versatile because they are available in many colors, but we can design around almost any gemstone that is appropriate for the ring and the way it will be worn.
If you have a particular gemstone already, we can design the ring around its exact measurements.
Custom Halo Settings for Your Stone
Already own the center stone?
We can create a custom halo engagement ring specifically for it.
This is particularly useful when the stone has unusual proportions or when you have been unable to find a stock setting that fits it correctly. Instead of compromising on the ring because of the dimensions of your stone, we can design the setting around the stone.
If you do not already have a center stone, we can discuss the type, shape and size you want before the ring is designed.
Halo Engagement Rings in Your Choice of Metal
Your ring can be created in white, yellow or rose gold, platinum, or other suitable precious metals depending on the design.
Metal choice can dramatically change the appearance of a halo ring. White metals tend to blend visually with diamonds, while yellow and rose gold can create more contrast. Two-tone construction gives us even more design possibilities.
You do not have to choose the metal until we know what the overall ring will look like.
Make Sure the Wedding Band Fits
The engagement ring should not be designed without considering the wedding band.
Some halo settings allow a straight wedding band to sit directly against the engagement ring. Others require a curved, contoured or custom-fitted band.
If having the two rings sit flush is important to you, tell us before we design the engagement ring. We can take that into consideration from the beginning rather than trying to solve the problem afterward.
We can also design the engagement ring and matching wedding band together.
How The Process Works For A Custom Halo Engagement Ring
You do not need a professional drawing or a finished design to get started.
Send us a picture, sketch, existing ring, combination of ideas, or a clear description of what you want. We will discuss the design, materials, center stone and other details needed to determine the price.
Once the design and price are agreed upon, we require a 50% deposit to begin the custom work.
We create the ring using CAD so you can see the design before it is cast. You will have an opportunity to review and approve the design before production begins.
The remaining balance is due when your Custom Halo Engagement Ring is completed.
How Much Does A Custom Halo Engagement Ring Cost?
There is no single or set price for a custom halo engagement ring.
The cost depends on the complexity of the design, metal, center stone, number and size of accent stones, ring dimensions and other design choices.
A simple halo ring and an elaborate hand-engraved double halo obviously will not cost the same amount.
If you are working within a particular budget, tell us. Often there are several ways to approach a design, and knowing the budget from the beginning helps us recommend the right combination of materials and design details.
Start With One of Our Halo Rings — Or Start From Scratch
You do not have to reinvent the entire ring to get something custom.
Browse the halo engagement rings above and look for elements you like. Maybe you love the halo from one ring, the shank from another and the center-stone shape from a third. We can use those ideas as a starting point.
Or send us something completely different.
If you have an idea for custom halo engagement ring, contact us with a picture, sketch or description and tell us what you would like to create.
Custom Halo Engagement Ring FAQs
Can you modify one of the halo rings shown on this page?
Yes. Our existing rings can be used as starting points. We can change the center stone, halo, shank, metal, accent stones, proportions and other design details.
Can you make a halo setting for a stone I already own?
Yes. We can design the setting around the exact measurements of your stone.
Can I have a double or triple halo?
Yes. We can create single, double or triple halos as long as the proportions work with the center stone and overall design.
Can I use a colored gemstone instead of a diamond?
Yes. Halo rings can be designed around diamonds or colored gemstones, and colored stones can also be used in the halo itself.
Can you make a custom hidden halo engagement ring?
Yes. Hidden halos can be incorporated into many different engagement-ring styles.
Can you make a matching wedding band?
Yes. If you want a matching band, it is best to tell us before the engagement ring is finalized so the two rings can be designed to work together.
Will I see the design before the ring is made?
Yes. After the deposit has been paid and the design process begins, we create a CAD model. You approve the design before the ring is cast.
How much is the deposit for a custom ring?
We require a 50% deposit to begin custom design work. The remaining balance is due upon completion.
What do you need from me to get started?
Send us a picture, sketch, reference ring or clear description of what you want. If you already have a center stone, include its measurements or grading report if available.
