This custom Bypass Kite-Shaped Engagement Ring combines an unusual geometric center stone with a flowing bypass design for a bold, modern look.
The kite-shaped center stone is set on an angle, giving the ring a distinctive silhouette while the bypass shoulders curve around it from opposite directions. Accent stones can be added along the sweeping bands to create more brilliance, or the design can be kept cleaner with polished metal.
The combination of the sharp geometric center and the softer curved shoulders gives the ring strong contrast and makes it feel very different from a traditional engagement ring. We ended up going with a prong setting on this, but the first request was for a bezel set stone, so we are showing that one as well.
Bypass Kite-Shaped Engagement Ring
This design can be personalized with different center stones, metals and accent details.
The kite-shaped center can be created with a diamond, sapphire, moissanite or another gemstone, while the accent stones along the bypass shoulders can be changed in size, color or number.
Metal options can include white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, platinum or other suitable precious metals.
The width and curve of the bypass shank can also be adjusted depending on whether you want the ring to feel more delicate or more substantial.
Optional Matching Wedding Band
An optional matching wedding band can be created to follow the shape of the engagement ring.
The band can be made in polished metal for a clean look, or it can be set with diamonds or other gemstones to add more sparkle and create a more dramatic combination.
You can choose the engagement ring by itself or have a coordinating band designed at the same time.
